Peaceful Lakes Across The Universe

In my opinion if people had to pick their favorite water body, they might choose a crystal-clear lake snuggled in the mountains. Not all lakes are clear or are near mountains, though. But one can find different types and of different sizes of lakes across the world. The beautiful lakes began to form at the end of the last glacial period around 14,000 years ago, as retreating ice sheets carved basins into the land and they became filled with melt-water. The Earth has a enormous variety of freshwater lakes, from fishing ponds to Lake Baikal in Siberia. Lake Baikal is the oldest, largest, and deepest freshwater lake of the world. Below are some of the fascinating lakes I found on pinterest, have a look and see the natural beauty lies among them.
